Over five years ago, I began an unexpected international journey. It started with a giant leap – purchasing a ticket to Germany. What began as a 6-week exploration has slowly unfolded into an extended personal odyssey.

As I am currently in back in the United States considering what is next for me, I want to first and foremost express my gratitude. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me in innumerable ways along this journey. I couldn’t have done it without you!

I began this journey truly not knowing how it would all work out. Soon after choosing to stay beyond my 6-week initiation, I started writing this blog. It was a place where I began to earnestly share my journey and experiences with the hope that it would be helpful to others and also helpful to me.

This blog has brought me many gifts, including the generosity of financial support. It was uncanny to me how, just when I had reached the point financially where I had no idea how I would make things work, an unexpected donation arrived. This experienced reinforced in me that it is possible to do what might seem impossible when we support and lift each other up in ways that we are able and feel inspired.

It has been and continues to be an amazing journey. I am so grateful for the people, the lessons, and the gift of increased faith in myself. It amazes me that I have these new and truly unexpected capacities in my life in the gifts of travel, new people and new experiences. I am rich indeed.

I will do my best to be of service to you by sharing my joys, challenges, wisdom and experience as this blog and my journey continue to evolve. Thanks so much for being here.
